A star is born- it's a girl!!

Heath and I were pretty sure we were having a baby boy!! In fact, we were already looking for blue little things and picking out boy names... We weren't the only ones exited to find out the sex of the baby though. My mother was dying of anxiety! I promised her I was going to find out what we were having, at 16 weeks, the same week we were heading to Florida for a family visit. Just the week before we got to spend some time at Disneyland with Heath's parents and brother. We told them the big news and they also seemed to be real exited. At that point I had no doubt that whatever this baby was, he or she was going to be happily spoiled by 4 amazing grandparents. Heath had an awesome idea to leave the ultrasound to be done in Florida, so that my parents could come with us- I loved the idea and though that was a great way for them to be involved!! At dinner, my parents absolutely dying to know the baby's sex, we reviled the big news... "We are all going together to the ultrasound tomorrow at 8am!" They were really exited... We all were exited! In the morning we headed to the ultrasound room to find out what we were having. It took quite a while to see it... The baby had his/her legs crossed together really tight and the technician made us aware I was dehidrated. My fluid seemed to be lower than it should normally be at 16 weeks, and he recomended I increased my liquid intake(interesting, since I was drinking more water than a camel in the desert). After couple of hours it was finally revealed- "It's a GIRL!!!". Oh wow, I never expected to be a mother of a little girl. I have always seen myself raising little boys, climbing trees, playing outside and being loud... Now I would have to learn how to be gentle and raise a little princess. I knew though at that moment, that Heath was gaining a best friend. I have watched my brothers and their little girls and it is a beautiful thing. My brothers are my nieces heroes!! We were stoked. We had a baby shower and revealed to family and friends we were naming her Harlow, after the gorgeous Hollywood movie star from the 30s, Jean Harlow. We though of our little girl as our star!! It was a marvelous time in FL and after that day baby Harlow became more real than ever.
